“Martinis for Mutts” October 5th, 2012

We attended “Martinis for Mutts” on Friday, October 5th. This event benefited a rescue group in Houston, Texas called Pup Squad (http://pupsquad.org/).  They focus on rescuing puppies and their mommas.   *Since 2008, they have rescued and placed over 3,500 dogs in forever homes…that’s roughly 900 dogs a year!   Go to their website to find out how to donate your time and money to this amazing group.

The event turned out so well. There were hundreds of people there and of course a litter of puppies. They even had specialty martinis titled “The Pink Pomeranian”, “The Lemony Lab”, and “The Razzy Rottweiler” to name a few.

Pup Squad’s next event is “Barkitecture” on October 26th and 27th.   Some of Houston’s best architects and artists have been selected to build dog houses that will be auctioned off in order to benefit Pup Squad.  Visit the event website for more information: http://www.barkitecturehouston.com/
